The project provided technical assistance to the Air Valley Project. Assistance included the formation of co-operative societies for input supplies and commodity marketing, the organisation of seasonal and medium term farmer credit, the use of small scale irrigation using tube wells and the extension of animal traction through demonstration and credit services. Adaptive research on desertification controls using prosopis var. and selected millets was also completed.
