The work involved the rehabilitation of old orchards and the development of credit services for replanting and expanding production. Extension service personnel were also training in the use of pest control measures, pruning techniques and other arboriculture methods. Advice on the processing and internal and export marketing of fresh fruit and juice extracts was also provided.
