Technical Assistance to the Phare Programme Management Unit-Agriculture and the SPP	Bulgaria	1993-1994
This project developed a regional network of 30 private demonstration farms representing a comprehensive range of farming systems in Bulgaria. Technical and managerial advice to the farms was provided as well as dissemination of the results and experience to the general farming public, the banks, government agencies and ministries, national radio and TV services. A farm accounts data network was created and a Farm Management Handbook was prepared. Extension agents were trained, many of whom ultimately formed the core of a national agricultural advisory service.
