Short project description |
The CAACP, with financial support from the World Bank and the Government of the Netherlands, aims to assist the government of Croatia in its EU accession efforts in areas of agriculture and rural development. The overarching objective of the project is to enable Croatia’s agricultural sector to capture benefits accruing from accession to the European Union. More specifically, the immediate objective of the project is to develop sustainable system and capacities within MAFRD to ensure timely compliance with EU Acquis conditions in the agricultural sector. This will comprise: · Implementation of the EU Acquis in rural development; · Empowerment of MAFRD management and administration; · Ensuring safe food and efficient and effective sanitary and phytosanitary conditions; and · Efficient project management.
To assist project implementation the PIU has prepared a project Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Plan. The PIU now plans to outsource project M&E activities and contract a competent external agency/consultancy to undertake these activities. |

Qualifications and Skills Required |
· An advanced degree (Masters or equivalent) in agricultural economics, business management, or other relevant discipline; · A minimum of seven years experience working in the design and implementation of M&E activities; · A good understanding of agriculture and rural development issues in Croatia and the requirements for EU accession and the processes involved; · Good management, facilitation and communication skills; · Demonstrated computer skills in MS Office, including Excel; · A good command of written and spoken English and Croatian; · Experience with internationally financed rural development projects.
