Vakakis International is seeking experienced French and Arabic speaking experts with a background in Technical Assistance and Project Management in the field of fruit tree farming (notably olives, figs, almonds, dates and palms) in the Mediterranean/North Africa region. With a specific focus on olives, figs, almonds, dates and palms, Vakakis International is seeking experts with a background in: · provision of technical advice and training to growers and growers associations, · creation of, and support to, cooperatives, · rehabilitation, intensification and irrigation of olive groves and date palm orchards. · pest management · production, packing and processing with a focus on value addition and cooperatives, · quality standards and certification programs, · value chain analysis, · marketing plans and information systems. Consultants must have an advanced degree (masters or equivalent) from a relevant discipline, demonstrate relevant working experience in the MEDA region, and must have French written and oral fluency. Relevant working experience in Morocco as well as fluency in Arabic would be an advantage. |
