a subject area relevant to our core activities, we would like to hear from

Team Leaders / Project Managers:
Ideally candidates should have prior project management experience and have
a demonstrable aptitude for managing people in multi-cultural and
multi-disciplinary environments. Experience in working with and for major
international aid organisations is a must, as is the capability to define
work programmes, manage project budgets and well developed verbal and
written communication skills.
Fund Management / Administration and Procurement:
We are frequently asked to provide
Consultants with a working knowledge and experience of (particularly) EU
decentralised procedures (i.e. PRAG and EuropeAid rules), especially those
concerned with the management and administration of EU structural funds,
grant and/or credit Funds and or procurement of goods and services. If you
have prior experience of providing management support in the EU aid
environment and/or with EU procurement, grant funds and /or structural fund
management we would very much like to hear from you.
SME
/ Enterprise Development:
Small and Medium-sized / General Enterprise
development skills have become an integral part of our consultancy work in
many of our projects worldwide. We would be pleased to receive CV’s from
experts with skills and proven track records in this area. Ideally you
should have prior experience from an economic, business, investment,
banking, or accounting background. Above all, you should have developed an
understanding of the problems affecting small businesses in emerging markets
and the ways in which these can be overcome.
Policy Analysis and Advice:
You should have practical knowledge and
experience in a specific policy area and at least 10 years working
experience in developing countries. You must also have the personality and
general demeanour or gravitas to work effectively with very senior
government officials. We are particularly keen to hear from specialists in
the fields of regional, agri-food and rural development, economics and trade
policy. Other Senior Experts: You should have a minimum of first degree (or equivalent professional qualification), five years profession experience in a developing country, specialist knowledge in a relevant field in which Vakakis provides professional services and a willingness to work either short or long term in developing countries. |
